Supergirl(2026)

I really liked the last Superman film a lot. I’m not a big fan of the Snyderverse and I had some hope that Gunn would bring some real comic accurate fun to the mix… this movie is unfortunately exactly what James Gunn said he didn’t want to happen.More superhero movie slop. There are some great moments but over all this movie is about as sturdy and a Kryptonian under a green sun. I think there were hints of great moments. Overshadowed by heavy creative choices, Dodgy CGI, piss poor green screen, flat lighting, terrible color pallet, generic derivative imagery, uneven in film continuity, how this an adaption of a vibrant popular comic book is beyond me. At best this script wasn’t finished until they yelled cut on the final day of filming. At worst this thing made it through multiple vetting process at the highest level and then said “Yeah I think We’ve done all we can here”.
