Mortal Kombat II(2026)

Mortal Kombat II… not to be confused with the 90’s sequel of the same name… took the hard lessons it learned in the last film and delivered a much more entertaining adaption. Bringing in a heavy hitter character actor like Karl Urban was probably one of the smartest moves they could have made (beyond cutting down the previous lead’s camera time considerably). Focusing more on the whole team was a far more entertaining affair. Honestly this was enjoyable and ,unlike the 90’s, it would seem that this go around… the sequel was the better of the two. Over all this is a film of mostly mindless video game fun, vengence fueled action, a little bit of comedy, and a whole lot of movement. This movie doesn’t feel like it ever really stops. I have to admit though… I get the feeling Street Fighter is going to be better.
